Superyacht AVIT Consultant

Scott Molloy

Managing Director

Scott’s career began working in accountancy, including securing an apprenticeship with Liverpool City Council.  Before long, an internal vacancy allowed him to follow his passion for working with computer hardware and operating systems, as the site’s IT support engineer.

In the following years, Scott worked across numerous nationwide sites and projects as a freelance IT systems engineer.  In 2005, Scott was invited by an old work colleague to fill an AV/IT position on his first superyacht.  In the following years, Scott worked on the operation and build of several large prestigious superyachts, ranging from 90 to 180 metres in length.  This included positions working dealing directly with yacht owners and their families.

In recent years, Scott focused on addressing a growing technology skills shortage in the industry.  Scott has led on projects to develop and deliver training to hundreds of yacht crew over the last few years.  Currently Scott is also leading on curriculum development for new superyacht-industry qualifications.

After 18 years supporting owners and systems in the superyacht industry, Scott’s skill set has expanded considerably, but that early passion for seeing systems being built and maintained correctly still remains.
