The three pillars of Spectral Marine
Spectral Marine Ltd was founded by Scott Molloy in 2016 to address a growing technology skills shortage in the superyacht sector.
Initially an MCA-approved recruitment agency called Just ETOs, the company was the first to focus entirely on marine electronics and electrical positions. The company soon started to develop training courses to best address the skills gap. These were such a success that the decision was taken to cease recruitment and focus completely on training services.
In January 2020, the decision was taken to re-brand the business. Although a strong brand, Just ETOs no longer made sense because our students were typically marine engineers. With Scott’s desire to also return to his true passions of owner representation and new build consultancy, the company was renamed to Spectral Marine. Our popular training courses now ran under a new brand SEACertify.
The team’s main focus is now offering technical management and New Build Consultancy services, whilst continuing to provide a limited amount training services seasonally and according to demand.
The values and passions of our Directors run throughout the DNA of Spectral Marine. This dictates everything we do, and how we do it.
Impartiality
As consultants and owner’s representatives, our primary concern at all times is looking after the client’s interests and assets. We operate as truly impartial consultants at all times. Everything about our company and the way we operate avoids any potential, or even perceived, conflicts. This is our utmost priority when we are engaged as your consultant. No directors or employed staff have any history working in sales positions or have ever received any sales commissions.
Independence
We are independently owned, which helps us retain our impartiality and stick to our core values. Our ownership doesn’t create any conflict of interest with any other parties. In such a small and niche industry, we believe it is an asset for all doors between all parties to remain fully open.
Integrity
There are many that say one thing, but are really doing something else. “Say what you do, do what you say.” is our motto when it comes to operating with complete integrity, as any consultant or owner’s representative must. We are confident any due diligence carried out will only serve to reinforce belief in our company, directors and the promises made regarding how we operate.

We are neither a “one man band” or a large consultancy company. We are an efficient boutique company, providing a small team of highly experienced specialists dedicated to your project. Our focus is quality, not quantity, enabling us to bring unrivaled value to our client’s projects.
